Volunteer Opportunities:
Active participation is a proven method of improving performance. One of the chapter’s goals is to have each member play an active role in determining the direction of the chapter. We are always looking for
talented people to help with program planning, presentations, and other projects.
You may Contact members of the Atlanta ISPI Executive Board, or any committee
chairperson for information about getting involved. Your participation in the
chapter, whether it be ideas, input, or feedback can influence the direction of
the chapter, the services it provides to members, and the future direction
of performance technology. The time required is about 3-4 hours per month, including
attending the monthly chapter meeting.
Communications
The communication committee needs volunteers to help with the monthly newsletter and public relations. Duties may include:
- Designing, publishing, and distributing the newsletter
- Soliciting content for the newsletter from membership and other sources
- Developing and implementing a publicity plan to promote the chapter and chapter events
- Providing assistance with special chapter publications, e.g., membership directory and election ballots
- Website updates for bi-monthly meetings

Finance
The Finance committee needs volunteers to help with planning and administering the budget. Duties may include:
- Maintaining chapter checking account, including monthly balancing of bank statements
- Collecting funds at monthly meetings and other chapter events

Marketing
The Marketing Committee needs volunteers to help with membership development activities. Duties may include:
- Developing and implementing a membership drive/promotion
- Providing follow-up information to new members, including chapter by-laws
- Matching members with volunteer opportunities within the chapter
- Conducting quarterly new member orientation programs prior to the monthly chapter meeting

Membership
The Membership Committee needs volunteers to plan membership activities and to develop the membership directory. Duties may include:
- Planning membership activities
- Maintaining the membership directory
- Providing welcome and follow-up information to new members, including chapter by-laws and directory
- Matching members with volunteer opportunities within the chapter

Programs
The Programs committee needs several volunteers to help with our monthly meetings. Duties may include:
- Helping identify meeting topics that are of general interest to the membership
- Contacting potential speakers to determine their suitability and availability as speakers
- Following up with speakers to get information for publicity, which is passed along to the Communications Committee
- Acting as a host/hostess at the meeting, including greeting members; especially newcomers
